J. Dwight Bradshaw, DDS

bradshaw-BriesemeisterDr. Bradshaw obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia Tech and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Bradshaw completed a General Practice Residency at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.   One of his top priorities throughout his career has been to stay informed on the latest advancements in the field of dentistry. He maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association and the Portsmouth/Suffolk Dental Study Club. With over 30 years of experience and expertise in the field of dentistry, Dr. Bradshaw offers patients peace of mind that their dental and oral health is in excellent hands.

When Dr. Bradshaw is away from the practice, he enjoys volunteering in the community and is a member of the Chuckatuck Ruritan Club. Other hobbies include spending time with family, boating, saltwater fishing, duck hunting and playing guitar.

Brian Briesemeister Jr., DDS

Dr. BrianDr. Brian Briesemeister Jr., a native of Virginia, was born in Chesapeake, Virginia but spent most of his youth in the Bennett’s Creek area of Suffolk. Growing up, Dr. Briesemeister was actively involved in athletics and the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Brian attended John Yeates Middle School and Nansemond River High School graduating in 2006 with honors. He received the Big Blue Leadership Scholarship to attend Old Dominion University where he was the president of the American Chemical Society, chemistry teacher assistant, and a Resident Advisor.

Dr. Brian Briesemeister Jr.After graduating from Old Dominion University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in biology and a minor in biochemistry, Dr. Briesemeister worked as a substitute teacher and varsity volleyball coach for Suffolk Public Schools. In 2011, he accepted an offer of admissions to Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. While in dental school, Dr. Briesemeister was involved in several student organizations and participated in “Give Kids a Smile Day,” which services the dental needs of local elementary school children. He also had an opportunity to volunteer with the Christian Dental Society on a mission trip to the St. Elizabeth parish of Jamaica where he provided dental care to the underserved population.

Dr. Brian Briesemeister Jr.Dr. Briesemeister graduated from Howard University with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree, where he was trained in comprehensive general dentistry, treating the whole patient not just the mouth. When not practicing dentistry, you’ll find Dr. Briesemeister spending time with his family, friends, and three beagles. He also enjoys camping, playing volleyball, and riding horses.

Brian is excited to return to Suffolk and serve the community he grew up in.
